The French 75 doesn't have one clean origin story — it evolved through the 1920s, starting from Harry MacElhone's 1922 recipe (which used Calvados, gin, grenadine, and absinthe, nothing like today's version) before Judge Jr.'s 1927 guide nailed down the modern gin-champagne-lemon-sugar combination. The name comes from the French 75mm field gun, a nod to how much of a kick it packs. This version swaps in Willie's Remedy for the gin and non-alcoholic sparkling wine for the champagne, keeping the kick THC-only instead of alcohol-only — a good one for New Year's Eve, Dry January, or any time you're easing off booze.
