THC Cranberry Mai Tai Ingredients
2 oz / 60 ml THC-infused cranberry spirit (I used Nowadays)
.5 oz / 15 ml Orgeat (I used Liber & Co.)
.5 oz / 15 ml Blood orange cordial (I used Liber & Co.)
1 oz / 30 ml Fresh lime juice
3 to 4 dashes Elemakule tiki bitters (optional)
Spent lime shell and mint sprig, for garnish
How to make a THC Cranberry Mai Tai
Shake all ingredients with pebble ice and open pour over more pebble ice. Garnish with a spent lime shell and a mint sprig.
I call this one the Cranberry Vibe Tai. It is a Mai Tai in structure with no alcohol in it: the split rum base comes out, a THC-infused cranberry spirit goes in, and it lands somewhere between a classic Mai Tai and a tiki mocktail.
The swaps are not one for one. Cranberry is tart and slightly bitter. Blood orange cordial stands in for the orange liqueur. The orgeat stays exactly where it is, because almond is what keeps this tasting like a Mai Tai.
I used Nowadays cranberry, which is a limited edition and may not be on the shelf when you go looking. Any THC spirit works here as long as you adjust for sweetness. Check the dose printed on the bottle before you scale the recipe up for a group, since these vary a lot from brand to brand.
