Sunset Clause (LoDo Hot Shot THC Cocktail) Ingredients
1.5 oz / 45 ml LoDo Hot Shot Cinnamon & Apple THC Spirit (10 mg per serving)
1 oz / 30 ml fresh lemon juice
0.75 oz / 22 ml Liquid Alchemist Apple Spice Syrup
Ginger beer, to top
Pebble ice
Dried orange wheel and a cinnamon stick, for garnish
How to make a Sunset Clause (LoDo Hot Shot THC Cocktail)
Shake the Hot Shot, lemon juice, and apple spice syrup with pebble ice. Open pour the whole thing into a highball glass, top up with more pebble ice, and finish with ginger beer. Garnish with a dried orange wheel and a cinnamon stick.
The apple and cinnamon arrive twice, once from the spirit and once from the syrup, and the ginger beer carries the carbonation plus the spicy bite you would otherwise get from alcohol. It tastes like a cocktail rather than like a mixer with something added to it.
One glass is one 10 mg serving. If that is more than you want, cut the Hot Shot to 0.75 oz and make up the volume with extra ginger beer. Either way, give it the full hour before you decide about a second one. The THC dosage guide covers why.

The name is borrowed from the law. A sunset clause is a provision that expires on a set date, which is what is currently hanging over every bottle like this one: the federal hemp rules change on November 12, 2026, and a 750 ml bottle of Hot Shot holds 166 mg of THC against a new limit of 0.4 mg per container.
