0.75 oz / 22 ml Chinola passion fruit liqueur
0.75 oz / 22 ml fresh lime juice
2 barspoons vanilla syrup

Fruity Pebbles, for the rim (I stick them on with edible adhesive)
How to make a Saturday Morning Cartoon Star (A Fruity Pebbles Pornstar Martini Riff)
Shake the vodka, Chinola, lime juice, and vanilla syrup hard with ice. Double strain into a chilled coupe or martini glass. Pour a short glass of sparkling wine and serve it alongside as the sidecar. Rim or decorate the glass with Fruity Pebbles before you pour.

The Pornstar Martini is a modern classic with a silly name and a serious following: Douglas Ankrah built it in 2002 for his Townhouse bar in London, vanilla vodka and passion fruit with a shot of champagne on the side to cut the sweetness. This is that drink with the vanilla vodka swapped for one that tastes like breakfast cereal.
Junction 35 is a distillery in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, and Bam Bam is their vodka that tastes like Fruity Pebbles. If you cannot find it, Three Olives Loopy, the Froot Loops version of the same idea, is the closest swap. Chinola, a passion fruit liqueur from the Dominican Republic, carries the fruit, fresh lime keeps it from turning into candy, and two barspoons of vanilla syrup stand in for the vanilla the vodka no longer brings. The sparkling wine sidecar stays, because that is the whole ritual of a Pornstar Martini: sip, sip, sip.
I made this one for my Junction 35 Bam Bam review, alongside a Cereal Negroni and a Cereal Milk Fizz. More passion fruit drinks live in my Chinola cocktails roundup.
Is this a Pornstar Martini?
It is a riff. The classic uses vanilla vodka and fresh passion fruit pulp. This one gets its vanilla from syrup and its passion fruit from Chinola, and the vodka is doing something the original never asked of it.
What sparkling wine goes on the side?
Anything dry and cold. Prosecco is the easy answer. A brut cava is the cheap answer, and it works just as well.
Can I skip the Chinola?
Passion fruit puree with a little extra vanilla syrup gets you most of the way. The drink will be less sweet and a touch sharper.
