Reptilian Blood Rum Cocktail Recipe
Reptilian Blood Rum Cocktail Ingredients
1 oz / 30 ml White rum (I used Planteray 3 Stars)
1 oz / 30 ml Midori
.5 oz / 15 ml Blue curaçao
1 oz / 30 ml Lemon juice
3 oz / 90 ml Pineapple juice
How to make a Reptilian Blood Rum Cocktail
Stick the blood type label on the pouch before you fill it. Add the white rum, Midori, blue curaçao, lemon juice and pineapple juice to a shaker with ice. Shake until cold. Open the pouch and strain the drink straight in. Seal the pouch and add a straw.

Not everyone bleeds red. Reptilian Blood is the green one from the blood bag video, made in honor of our tech company overlords. The label on mine says Zuckerberg. It's also the one that makes people ask what's in it.
What makes it green?
Midori does most of the color. Blue curaçao pushes it from lime green toward something that looks like it came out of a lizard. Three ounces of pineapple juice keeps it drinkable, and the ounce of lemon juice is the only sour thing in it.
Is it sweet?
It's the sweetest of the three. Two liqueurs and pineapple juice will do that. It's also the lightest, with only an ounce of rum, which makes it the crowd-pleaser at a party where not everyone wants a margarita.
When I got to the tasting in the video, this was the one bag that was already empty. I don't know what happened to it. Reptilian blood is universally enjoyed, I guess.

Which rum should you use?
I used Planteray 3 Stars, which was still called Plantation when I filmed this. Any white rum works. There's only an ounce of it, sitting behind two liqueurs and three ounces of pineapple, so this isn't the place for your good bottle.
Can you batch it for a party?
Yes. There's nothing fizzy in it, so the whole drink can sit in a pitcher in the fridge. Give it a stir before you fill the bags, then put the filled bags in an ice bucket and let people grab one.
About the blood bags
The bags are adult drink pouches. They hold 16 oz and seal well. The blood type labels used to come in the kit and are sold separately now, so grab both. The blood bag margarita page covers filling them, adding pebble ice, and setting them out for a party.
The whiskey Blood of My Enemies comes from the same video, and the full lineup is in the Halloween cocktail roundup.
