Lynchburg Lemonade wasn't invented by Jack Daniel's — it was created in 1980 by Tony Mason, an Alabama bar owner, and named after Lynchburg, Tennessee, home of the distillery. Mason later sued Jack Daniel's, alleging a company sales rep learned his recipe and the brand turned it into their own national promotional campaign; the case went to a retrial that Jack Daniel's ultimately won. It's been associated with the brand ever since. This version swaps in Jack Daniel's Tennessee Blackberry for the usual pour, adding a fruity edge to the classic whiskey-lemonade combo.
