Happle Juice (Omega Mart Copycat) Ingredients
1.5 oz / 45 ml Vodka
0.5 oz / 15 ml Chareau aloe liqueur
0.5 oz / 15 ml Apple liqueur (I used Sour Apple Pucker)
1 oz / 30 ml Apple juice
1 oz / 30 ml Ricemilk
0.25 oz / 8 ml Simple syrup
0.5 oz / 15 ml Fresh lemon juice
2-3 dashes Spiced apple bitters
Buzz button, cherry, and an apple slice, for garnish
How to make a Happle Juice (Omega Mart Copycat)
Add the vodka, Chareau, apple liqueur, apple juice, ricemilk, simple syrup, lemon juice, and apple bitters to a shaker with ice. Shake well and strain into your glass (the Omega Mart bar serves it in a Silipint silicone cup, which fits the vibe). Garnish with a cherry, an apple slice, and the all-important buzz button.
Want my upgraded version? For the "Happle Juice 2.0" I swap in 2 oz of pear vodka, skip the apple liqueur, cut the apple juice to 0.5 oz, and bump the ricemilk to 1.5 oz. Pear and apple are best friends, and the extra ricemilk gets the texture closer to the original (that stuff tastes like a drinkable Rice Krispie treat).
If you've never been to Meow Wolf's Omega Mart in Las Vegas, it looks like a regular grocery store on the surface and turns into a mind-bending art installation full of secret passages and strange products. Hidden inside is a bar called Datamosh, and the drink that blew me away there was called Happle Juice. All I had to work from was the ingredient list on their menu, so this is my copycat, and I held off making the video until the buzz buttons I planted actually grew. A buzz button (also called an electric daisy) is a little flower that makes your tongue tingle and turns the citrus in the drink way up. Nibble the garnish partway through and the whole drink changes. The Chareau aloe liqueur is the ingredient that makes this one special, and worth tracking down.
