Banana Cognac Recipe
Banana Cognac Ingredients
1 oz / 30 ml Cognac
1 oz / 30 ml Cachaça
1 oz / 30 ml Fresh lime juice
.5 oz / 15 ml Banana syrup
.25 oz / 8 ml Orgeat
2 dashes Angostura bitters
2 dashes tiki bitters
Crushed ice, for serving
Lime wheel, for garnish
How to make a Banana Cognac
Add the cognac, cachaça, lime juice, banana syrup, orgeat, and both bitters to a shaker with ice. Shake well and strain into a tall glass filled with crushed or pebble ice. Garnish with a lime wheel.

This one comes from Death & Company's cocktail book (Modern Classic Cocktails, page 210), reworked here to be less sweet and more booze-forward than the original: more cachaça, lime instead of lemon and orange juice, and a touch less banana syrup. The cachaça brings a funky, tiki-adjacent edge that plays well against the cognac, and the banana syrup and orgeat round it out without tipping into dessert territory. Serve it over crushed ice — it's built to be a warm-weather sipper, not a stirred nightcap.
