Willie's Remedy is one of the most talked-about hemp-derived THC drinks out there, and I get a lot of the same questions about it. Let's dig into them, along with a simple recipe to try it in.

Yes — and here's why. Willie's Remedy is a hemp-derived THC drink, which is legal at the federal level.
That law made hemp federally legal as long as the plant contains less than 0.3% THC. Companies can grow that hemp, extract the THC, and use it in drinks, gummies, and other edibles.
That's also why you'll find these products in liquor stores, smoke shops, and even grocery stores rather than dispensaries. Somewhat ironically, they're often more common in non-recreational states than in recreational ones. It's a real legal loophole, and it's a big part of why this category of drinks has grown so fast over the past few years.
One important note: cannabis laws vary by state and change constantly, so it's worth checking your own state's rules before ordering.
Even though hemp plants only contain trace amounts of THC, that THC can be extracted and concentrated when it's made into a finished product. Willie's Remedy comes in a 5mg and a 10mg version: 5mg is a solid starter dose for most people. My own sweet spot is around 10mg, though I know people who drink 50mg versions comfortably. That's more about individual tolerance than anything else.
My biggest piece of advice: measure carefully. These drinks go down easy, and it's surprisingly simple to overserve yourself if you're not paying attention to the dose.
Most THC beverages, including this one, use nano-emulsified THC, meaning the THC particles are broken down small enough to actually dissolve in the liquid. That changes how it behaves in your body compared to a traditional edible like a gummy or brownie.
Instead of waiting close to an hour for it to kick in, THC drinks typically start working somewhere between 15 and 30 minutes in, and the experience tends to feel more predictable overall.

Willie Nelson is about as Texas as it gets, so it only made sense to make this a Ranch Water: traditionally just tequila, lime juice, and Topo Chico, built right in the bottle.
Ingredients
Method: Pour out (or drink) enough Topo Chico to make room in the bottle. Add the Willie's Remedy and lime juice, garnish with a lime wedge pushed into the bottle, give it a gentle swirl, and enjoy.
Just to be transparent: I'm not affiliated with or sponsored by Willie's Remedy or any other brand mentioned in this article. This is just my honest take.
