Nirvana Nevermind Ingredients
2 oz. (60 ml) Bacardi Limon Rum
1 oz. (30 ml) Triple Sec
.5 oz. (15 ml) Lemon Juice
.5 oz. (15ml) Simple Syrup
Mountain Dew Frost Bite (or other blue colored soda)
How to make a Nirvana Nevermind
Shake first 4 ingredients. Pour over pebble ice and top off with Mountain Dew Frost Bite (or Mountain Dew Frost Bite Zero) Garnish with baby Spencer Elden and a dollar bill for ants.
If you have no blue soda, use blue curacao instead of triple sec and top off with sprite or diet sprite.
Nirvana's Nevermind (1991) has one of the most recognizable album covers in rock history: a baby swimming toward a dollar bill on a fishhook, an idea that came from Kurt Cobain himself and was shot by underwater photographer Kirk Weddle with three-month-old Spencer Elden. This drink is a tongue-in-cheek homage: a bright blue, soda-topped rum cocktail built to look like that pool, garnish joke very much included.
